Wilde Oscar opens

A new disco has opened in Cleveland. WILD OSCAR, 2140 Payne Avenue, held its grand opening November 21, 1979 featuring Bobbi Callicoatte in a one person show. Although the event was held on a weekday night, a large and enthusiastic crowd turned out for it.

Billing itself as "Cleveland's newest New Orleans-style disco", this club is certainly among the largest. Boasting a large seating capacity as well as an expansive dance floor, WILD OSCAR has opened on a very grand scale. Flexibility of both the dance floor and the seating are such that "shows" can be easily produced.

The light show is largely made up of a modular type arrangement along with beacon lights, pin-spots and mirror ball.
